The terminals in the port of Rotterdam are among the most modern terminals in the world. The terminals provide rapid (automated) processing of cargo such as containers, dry bulk, liquid bulk, breakbulk and LNG. Various terminals have direct links to the deep sea and feeder, short sea, , road, rail and inland waterway connections.

The terminals offer various services including storage and transhipment of hazardous substances/freight, cleaning of tank containers, empty depot and links to reefer connections. The very largest container ships (24,000+ TEU) can access the terminals 24/7.
